Gentle Contrast

This 75m² apartment was designed specifically for a Korean client who appreciates minimalist yet emotionally rich spaces, valuing warmth, gentleness, and a sense of connection in every corner. We chose to blend modern design with Nordic spirit to create a living environment that harmonizes reason and feeling.

The open living area—comprising the living room, kitchen, and dining space—is where contemporary character meets the rustic charm of Scandinavian design. A burnt orange leather sofa stands out against a gray cement-effect wall, serving as a bold visual focal point while gently contrasting with the elegant light wood dining table that embodies Nordic simplicity. Despite the contrast in tones and materials, the overall balance is maintained through skillful coordination of colors, textures, and proportions. The result is a modern, vibrant space that never overwhelms.

In contrast to the energetic communal area, the bedroom is pared down to essential simplicity. A neutral palette of white, gray, and light wood, combined with sleek, clean-lined furniture, creates a serene, airy atmosphere. Each piece is thoughtfully chosen—unpretentious and purposeful—true to the “less is more” philosophy of contemporary Korean aesthetics.

The space is unpretentious yet complete—a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and find peace in every moment of coming home.
